Flat steel products prices have stayed relatively steady, with HRC (hot-rolled coil) at approximately ₹45,500 - ₹47,600/ton and CRC (cold-rolled coil) in the range of ₹50,500 - ₹55,300/ton. Prices across primary markets have shown only slight declines (approximately ₹100 for HRC and ₹200 for CRC per ton); demand for these products in India remains strong, and mills are sourcing for immediate supply requirements, resulting in limited variation from spot buying levels at the distributor level.
On the export side, European quotas being depleted and the continuing weakness in the Middle East have left mills with no choice but to concentrate on supplying the internal market. While it is expected that the increased volume of imports arriving will put slight supply-side pressure, it is not anticipated to change the situation significantly.
Outlook
Overall, the near-term outlook remains stable to slightly soft, with prices likely to stay within current ranges unless demand strengthens or import inflows ease.
