HRC and CRC Prices in India are trending upward on a week-on-week basis. The price of HRC (IS2062, Gr E250) has increased by ₹600/t on a week-on-week basis from last week to this week, from ₹52,400/t last week to ₹53,000/t as of today. CRC prices have risen by ₹900/t to ₹58,800/t ex-Mumbai. This is due in large part to the continuation of mills raising their prices, as well as increased input prices, including the recent rise in premium hard coking coal prices, giving mills greater leverage for pricing power. Despite these upward pressures, end-user demand has remained moderate, and increasing import volumes entering by early February could temper the pace of further gains in the short run.

Thus, it has been anticipated that cost-side pressures and supply discipline will continue to support prices, and there are chances that prices may further increase in the range of ₹1,200–1,500/t in February, suggesting a cautiously positive near-term outlook, contingent on sustained cost support and the absence of a sharp demand slowdown.
