ERW Patra Pipe prices have shown a mixed trend during the week in regions like Raipur and Mandi Gobindgarh. Prices at Raipur had increased by ₹500 per tonne, standing at ₹ 39,000 per tonne. Higher billet and HR strip prices supported the prices despite overall weak steel demand. On the other hand, the prices at Mandi Gobindgarh witnessed a marginal fall on a weekly basis by ₹100 per tonne to ₹42,000 per tonne amid low trading activities and limited demand. However, daily prices had witnessed a fall of ₹200 per tonne on Friday, which reflects market volatility and cautious buying sentiments. Increases in Billet and HR strip prices will continue to put pressure on an overall rise in value; however, constrained demand did not allow prices to uniformly increase across different geographic locations.
Outlook:
Thus, as per the current market conditions, the prices are expected to remain volatile in the near term. Limited and inconsistent demand, along with the fluctuations in raw material prices, will continue to influence the market. Moreover, buyers are also likely to maintain a cautious approach, anticipating further price adjustments amid weak sales and uncertain consumption trends.
