On November 11, 2025, prices for ERW patra pipes were quoted at ₹38,500/t exw Raipur and ₹41,200/t exw Mandi Gobindgarh. Pricing is showing only a slight recovery from the previous levels of ₹37,800/t and ₹40,800/t, and this instability is attributed to selective restocking amid ongoing lackluster market activity. Demand for the material is still dictated by weak buying activity in the downstream environment following the Guru Nanak Jayanti holiday, and buyers are mostly engaged in need-based buying decisions. Raw material costs are also lowering, with HR strip priced at roughly ₹37,500/t and billets priced at ₹34,800/t in Raipur, and ₹39,900/t and ₹38,500/t in Mandi, which is straining conversion margins, thus reducing upward pricing pressure. The trading activity remained moderate, with Raipur in the range of approximately 700–800 tonnes, and Mandi in the 400–500 tonnes range, highlighting the slightly conservative sentiment of market participants.

Outlook

ERW patra pipe prices are expected to remain in a narrow range in the near term, with increases within the Raipur range of approximately ₹38,300–38,600/t exw, and within Mandi Gobindgarh at approximately ₹41,000–41,300/t exw. The market is expected to remain stale, with pricing dictated mostly by movement in the raw material pricing, and minor restocking on behalf of buyers.
